Some of the pieces I did for Dixie Plywood.  The pieces sit on some of the beams used as material.  The beams are shipped in 60' lengths to their outlets around the country and then cut to length for the customer.  Dixie uses the pieces as corporate gifts.  Beams are up to 8" thick and 24" wide and made from fir or plywood.  Neither material turns well and after I have roughed out the piece I start sanding with 24 grit on an angle grinder.  I have made a few pieces for sale and gifts.  Since plywood is considered a cheap product I use artistic license and call it Arkansas Zebra Wood.
