Back in the early days in my Special Forces career.  Wish I had all the money the Army spent on my training.  After 25 years Active and Reserve they medically retired me in 1988.  I went to a lot of schools and learned a bunch of neat stuff but not much of it can be used legally in civilian life.   Learned that REAL luxury is indoor running water , especially hot, clean sheets and food in the regenerator.  Spent too many nights sleeping in the mud dreaming of 3 day old pizza.   Wish I could have another 25 years of it.  Some of my best jobs were in the Army especially the 8 years on a Special Forces A team and the 9 Years as a Pathfinder.  It is a real ego trip when a bunch of guys trust you enough to follow you out of an airplane at night with no idea what is waiting for you on the ground.  Interesting to see programs on TV about "adventure training" where people spend big bucks to go through a safer version of what the Army did to me.
