A few examples of turnings using my Legacy 1500. It will turn 11" by 82". The real limit of this fantastic machine is your imagination. See www.legacywoodworking.com for over 300 examples and the Legacy section of this site for work by members of the Legacy discussion group. If you want something done on the Legacy and are not in the Dallas area check the Legacy contact for someone closer. I bought the 1500 real cheap from a cabinet maker who gave up trying to get it to work and spent two days removing his modifications. A few weeks later I made a delivery to him and he saw an order of barley twist balusters in the truck and was really ticked off when he found out that I was using the machine for production. There is a lot to learn about using the 1500 but the basics are fairly straight forward. I received my Legacy 1800 in January 2005 and now can do pieces up to 16' by 11" in diameter. Though the 1800 will only mill 8' I can use a out-rigger to hold up to 16' and mill half at a time.
Rope molding from mahogany. Again two halves glued 1" at both ends an a spot of glue every 6".
