Ludwig Kieninger

Ludwig, the wood carver, located at 231 A East Beltline Rd. , DeSoto, TX, 972-230-2540.  One of the last of the old German master carvers.  He teaches classes three nights a week.  I am very fortunate to have been able to take his classes.  I have been honored to do his turning for the last 4 years.  At 82 he doesn't move as fast as he used to.  He hates the Russians because they ate his favorite horse when he was captured by them in WWII.  He spent 2 years as a POW in Siberia.  Only about 5% of the German POWs made it out.
