The stand has six four inch drawers on one side and open
shelves on the other and is mounted on casters. For dust collection I
incorporated a heavy curtain on each side which attaches to the rails with Velcro
strips. When used for large parts they may be flipped down out of the way.
I use a 4 to 2 1/2 inch converter on the dust port allowing a 4 inch connection
to the dust collection system, works much better than using a small hose.
This method also allows the router to be fully plunged.
The drawer design has the sides extended 11/2 inches allowing the drawer to be
fully opened without falling out. There are no fancy drawer glides just a
wood runner dadoed into the cabinet sides. The drawers have 1/4"
dados on all four sides of the interior to allow dividers to be inserted.
I had thought about putting a dust port into the dust bin area but depending on
where you are at with the router most of the dust would miss the hole. I
just use the hose when I'm done to clean out the bin.

Note. I like the way the drawers are recessed to reduce the amount of dust that will get in them. Also makes an interesting looking and very functional drawer front. Art
