Texas Ebony posts

Got an order for two 6" by 5' posts from Texas ebony.  Customer furnished the materials and I gave it a shot.  They were rough on the tools and I had to re-sharpen about every ten minutes and there was a lot of tear out until I got down about 1/2".   Actually turned out quite nice.  FYI.  After they are turned I call the material Texas ebony but before they went on the lathe they were called telephone poles.  Never again!
